An interview with HITAKSHI by SANGAM
Being bubbly, carefree and full of life, Hitakshi Bawa hails from the Capital of India, New Delhi. Along with working as an Executive Administration in a MNC, she is also pursuing her MBA from AIMA. Ever since she became a self-made young woman, Hitakshi has been an avid reader, always eager to grab her favorite authors’ books and leave an impressionable review. Playing with words, sharing her emotions and expressing her thoughts, gives her immense happiness. Her poems always make the readers feel good. Her short stories were published in anthologies like ‘Syahi’ and ‘A Zest of Inklings’ Just like any other girl of her age, Hitakshi digs her moods in chocolates, balances her beautiful self on stilettos, shopping galore with friends and getting photographed from all possible angles. A down to girl at heart, rich in moral values and loyal in any relation she forms, Hitakshi unwinds her weekends at home with her small and loving family.
SANGAM- ‘IN DI SPIRE’
how close you are towards to #LifeDeathBucketList “Ten Things You Must Do
Before You Die”
HITAKSHI- I would say I am 100% dedicated towards my
blog posts, whether they are my poems or my write-ups; I write whatever I feel
and what I feel is exactly what I am close to. All my posts and poems are
some or the other way revealing the real Hitakshi. All those 10 items mentioned
in that article are something which I really want to do before I take my final
goodbye from this world. (Some of them I have achieved also ;) :)
SANGAM- There is a Quote
“Behind every man’s success there is a woman”. But who is/are behind the
success of Hitakshi Bawa?
HITAKSHI- Lemme correct,
It’s Hitakshi Bawa Madan now J Indeed there is
someone behind every person’s success. Here if can proudly say, behind my
professional and educational growth my
mother was the whole, sole strength who always makes me feel that I am not
alone and I have to achieve a position in life.
And in this literature world if I am a bit known (as I have to
travel miles to be known here, filhaal!)
that’s all because of my other mother, my net mom Preeti Singh. She was the one
always there for me whenever I required any kind of guidance.
So in my life, both my legal and illegal mothers (ha-ha) are my
strengths.
And to add to that, my newlywed husband is the motivational force
behind me to achieve the goals my mothers have been pushing me to grab.
SANGAM- Marriage leads
to destruction, extinction of passion, downfall in lady’s carrier. Do you
agree?
HITAKSHI- No, not at all.
If you have a caring and supportive partner (Like I have) you can reach the
heights. Whereas I believe, I actually have seen a positive change in myself
after marriage. And of course it’s due to my inspiring husband
My husband and me are more like friends than anything else. We
share and guide each other in every possible way. I think if you have a partner
with you who understands you so well, you can win the worldJ. I am truly blessed
to have him.
SANGAM- Viewers love the
way you review any book. But did it happen with you that you find hard to
review any book? Which book touches your lovely heart?
HITAKSHI- No, I review for
my own passion. My reviews will never be biased on basis of my relationships
with the authors or with this writing industry. Sometimes people like my
reviews, and sometimes they do not. But that is absolutely okay with me as I
review on the basis of what I feel after reading. Differences in choices are
always there as it varies person to person.
Personally I loved reading Bhavya Kaushik’s book ‘The other side
of the bed’;. one book which directly reached my heart.
SANGAM- You have written
two anthologies one is in ‘Syahi’ and other one is in ‘Zests of Inklings’. How
these two are different?
HITAKSHI- Both stories in
both the anthologies are very different from one another. In Syahi, it was a sweet love story “Better Late than never”, which was my debut attempt in writing short
stories. Fortunately people liked my work and I tried writing another on in
Zest Of Inklings ;). My story in the Zest of Inkling is a serious one which is some or the other way
connected to my heart.
SANGAM- I am zealous
from you that you met Superstar SRK . But anyway how this beautiful story
plotted?
HITAKSHI- Hahahaha It was
all by luck. I was doing my MBA from AIMA and AIMA organized a convention
program where they invited all the big names from different industries. Arun
Jatiley, Shahrukh Khan, Azim Premji, Chanda Kochhar were the few well known
celebrities who marked their presence there. There I got the chance to share
the same stage with the superstar Shahrukh Khan.
P.S – I am not at all a big fan of SRK, and I told him on stage
that he is almost the age of my father on which he laughed like hell :D
SANGAM- Did your leg
shiver when you share stage with Superstar SRK?
HITAKSHI- Not at all :D
SANGAM- You written many
poems in both languages Hindi and English. Which finds you easier? Which one is
close to your heart?
HITAKSHI- I enjoy writing
in both the languages. And whatever I write is close to my heart as I write
whatever is there in my heart J ^_^
SANGAM- You did MBA from
AIMA and also worked as an executive assistant in a MNC. So How You distributes
your time among family, writing, job?
HITAKSHI- Family is my
life, Job is my passion and writing is my hobby. It’s easy to allocate time if
you are clear with your priorities.
SANGAM- You looked very
charming, pretty, captivating. Any secret behind your Beauty.
HITAKSHI- hahahaha No
secret. ;) I won’t sing any song like it’s there in advertisements :D. meri khubsurti ka raaz lux, hamam, etc etc
sabun :D lol
